A lovely styled sewing machine, this lightweight LX25 from Brother is easy to use with lots of features needed for home sewing, like top loading bobbin with view through cover, stretch stitches and easy to lift built in carry handle.

Its portable, weighing-in at a mere 7kg and ready to tackle any fashionable sewing project. With 25 stitches, including 4-step automatic button hole and adjustable width and stitch length control, the Brother LX25 uses a simple one dial to select stitch functions. The dial is large and easy to grasp and turn. It has bright LED lighting system and also the quick-set top loading bobbin. If you have not already used this quick-set system, its a time saver as well as cutting down on wasted thread! . If you’re still not 100% convinced you can follow the included instructional DVD.

While the flat-bed mode is useful for seams, hems and most general sewing projects, you can remove the extension table to convert the machine into free-arm mode, ideal for circular sewing like altering trouser-hems, setting in sleeves, stitching cuffs and more.

It even has an electronic foot control, which means greater needle penetration at slower stitching speeds too so you don’t have to speed up for bulky items. Stretch stitch, satin stitches, over-edging, straight stitching, reverse and zig zag, also with the LX25 there’s a zipper foot included for inserting or mending zips. Plus a twin needle for decorative sewing.
