As a child I always loved to create things. I would often visit my Aunts who were all very much into a variety of crafts; this is where my love of crafts begun. My Aunty Jo was into dressmaking and she used to show me how to make clothes which I still love to do to date. I make my husbands shirts and in the most fabulous fabrics!
My Aunty Jean and Aunty Jen were also into knitting and crochet; a passion that they passed on to me. I love to Crochet and have always got at least one crochet project on the go at any one time. My Aunty Jen is also an incredible artist so learning to draw has been the biggest help of all.
As the years passed I always dreamed of having a little shop and never thought it would come true until, one day, we were given the opportunity to purchase a property opposite our house in Upper Midvale Road, this is where Crafty Quilters was born. This little shop has been up and running for a couple of years now and it means everything to me.
Craft is a lifetimes passion for me and creating is pretty much all I dream of and think about. When we go away on our holidays the first things I pack are a few projects, not makeup or clothes, it’s the projects for me!
